This list was built in 2018 and some things have changed, bit it has essentially remained intact. Normally I don’t carry as much photography gear and just use my phone, but sometimes I like to add a nicer camera on shorter trips. These ongoing lists are always a work in progress, but it’s a good baseline for what I was carrying on shorter backpacking trips when I wanted to stay lighter and didn’t need a larger or more robust pack to haul lots of food or water.
