In June 21-25 2019, my wife and I took a road trip from our home in Phoenix to venture through some of the beauty in southern Utah. Our first destination was Moab, UT, with a stop and road trip through the iconic sights of Monument Valley. After that first day, our schedule was packed with off-roading, truck camping, eating at small roadside restaurants, and driving from national park to national monument and then some.
The primary locations we visited included Monument Valley, Canyonlands National Park, Moab UT, Arches National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Zion National Park. 5 days just wasn’t enough to include Bryce or any of the other parts of southern Utah that we had hoped to see, as well as staying a night on the shores of Lake Powell. We decided to maximize our time in the places that we did choose to visit, and hopefully come back and spend time in the ones we didn’t.
